Things Your Should Always Have in your Car

Hitting the road and driving without a destination in mind is everybody’s idea of complete freedom. After all, there are no strings attached and it can be a great adventure. With this said, there should always be a few items that you keep in your car so that you will never find yourself in an unexpected predicament. Read on to find out more information…

Petrol Can

Running out of petrol whilst you are mid-journey can be incredibly stressful. After all, you have to wait for a breakdown service to pick you up and take you to the nearest petrol station and that can take hours. On the other hand, having a petrol can in your car means that you can get in contact with a family member or friend and ask them to get you some petrol in no time.

Windshield Wiper Fluid

Being able to see is the most important aspect of driving. After all, a dirty windscreen is incredibly dangerous and puts yourself, your passengers, pedestrians and other drivers at risk. That is why wiper fluid is so important. After all, water is not a suitable substitute because it can freeze, creating more problems than it solves. Having back up wiper fluid in your vehicle means that you will always be road ready.

First Aid Kit

An injury on the road may be rare however having the tools to deal with it can make your journey much more relaxing. After all, a grazed knee after a trip to the park is easily fixed with a plaster. With this said, more dire situations like a nose bleed can occur rather unexpectedly and if you do not have a supply of tissues on hand you can find yourself in a tricky situation. In order to be prepared your first aid kit should contain gloves, plasters, dressings, tissues and an antiseptic.

Emergency Food/Water

Unless you live in the middle of nowhere it is extremely unlikely that you will find yourself stranded without food and water. With this said, traffic jams have been known to last for many hours after road traffic accidents and when you have children in the back of the car a steady supply of snacks can come in handy. Make sure to pick items that have a long lifespan and water bottles that are able to withstand extreme temperatures.

Whilst it is unrealistic to fill your boot up with everything you could ever possibly need, there are certain items that can really make a difference during an emergency and here at V12 Sports and Classics we like to think that our range of used cars are perfect for spontaneous road trip across country!
