Technology is always advancing and the cars we drive in 2018 are evidence of that. After all, early 20th century drivers would find the features we now have in vehicles incredibly hard to believe. Here at V12 Sports and Classics, our cars range in age which means that they are equipped with a variety of exciting, and potentially futuristic, features. Read on to find out more about some of the most common ones…
Touch Screen Display
Whilst the CD player in a vehicle is still available, many modern cars now come with a touch screen display and Bluetooth connectivity; allowing drivers to play their own music instead. In fact, many of these displays come with a built-in sat nav and even allow drivers to make phone calls without having to take their hands off the wheel.
Any driver will tell you that poor judgement during reversing manoeuvres is the most common cause of stationary collisions. After all, some people are able to reverse with ease whilst others require a helping hand. Just 20 years ago this would be a family member coaching you however the new reversing camera feature allows even the worst drivers to park safely.
The concept of wifi hasn’t been around for long however once we mastered 4G it appeared in every shopping centre, restaurant and coffee shop possible. In fact, it is even available on trains and coaches which is why the idea of a wifi hotspot in a car doesn’t come as a shock. The idea is that the vehicle has its very own network for passengers to connect to so they can preserve their data allowance. With this said, it is a relatively new feature which means that not every vehicle will come with it.
Whilst a car doesn’t need to be equipped with heated seats and Bluetooth in order to get you from A to B, it certainly doesn’t hurt. After all, modern cars are said to be safer due to the technology that they are installed with. Here at V12, our range of 2nd hand cars come with an array of features including parking sensors, electric sun roofs and build-in sat navs. Get in contact with a member of the team to find out more today!
